Quick setup

Follow these easy steps to get your AEG LAVATHERM T3 Dryer up and running in no time.

1

Before Installation

Check that the appliance has not been damaged during transport. If damaged, contact your dealer and do not connect a damaged appliance.

2

Location Requirements

Install the dryer in a room where the temperature is between 0 and +35°C. Ensure the dryer is positioned horizontally and not on a thick pile carpet as this would prevent air from circulating freely through the ventilation slots.

3

Electrical Requirements

Ensure the rated voltage and type of current indicated on the rating plate correspond to those at the installation site. A permanent connection must be carried out only by a qualified engineer.

HALF HEAT Button

Want to dry those delicate cottons gently? Use the HALF HEAT button, but remember, it's only for loads up to 2 kg!

FRESH & COOL Button

Keep your delicate fabrics in tip-top shape with the FRESH & COOL button, perfect for a gentle dry without the heat stress!

Troubleshooting

The AEG LAVATHERM T3 Dryer has some known problems that occur often. Here are some easy to do solutions for the problems or error codes your AEG might be giving you.

The plug is not connected

The appliance is not receiving power because the plug is disconnected. Ensure that the plug is securely connected to a power outlet.

The main fuse has blown

The electrical circuit is disrupted due to a blown fuse. Check the fuse box and replace any blown fuses to restore power.

The door is not properly closed

The appliance will not operate if the door is ajar, affecting the safety mechanism. Firmly close the door until you hear a click to ensure it is properly latched.

General Safety

Repairs to the dryer must be carried out only by qualified personnel. Repairs carried out by inexperienced persons could cause serious danger. Never start the appliance if the electrical supply cable is damaged or if the control panel or worktop are so damaged that inner components can be reached.

Energy Efficiency

The dryer is more economical when fully loaded. It is important to select the correct drying program suited to the type and quantity of laundry, as this ensures the dryer works more efficiently.

Installation Guidelines

The dryer should not be installed in a room where the temperature can fall below zero or exceed +35°C. It must be positioned horizontally and not on a thick pile carpet to allow air circulation. If installed near a heater, an insulating non-flammable panel must be inserted between the dryer and the heater.

Environmental Tips

To protect the environment, avoid using fabric softeners during washing as machine dried laundry remains soft without them. Dispose of packaging materials correctly as they are environmentally friendly. For proper disposal of the appliance, contact the local collection body.

Drying Programs

The HALF HEAT button is for gentle drying of delicate cottons, while the FRESH & COOL button is for gentle drying of delicate fabrics. The drying time can be selected with the programme selector, which offers different settings for cottons and synthetics.

Maintenance

The fluff filter must be cleaned after each drying cycle to ensure free circulation of air during the drying process. Use a damp cloth to clean the filter before removing the laundry.

Child Safety

Children are often unaware of the dangers posed by electrical appliances. It is important to ensure that they do not play with the dryer.
